Attending: Balasar, Bramble, Veran (DMPC), Ysmir
Bramble woke up to restless pups, and the sounds of small feet and giggling. After investigation he saw nothing recognisable until a creature with pointed ears cut the dogs free. He yells to wake up the others and Balasar grabs one while Bramble lures the girl back. A grandfather gnome apologises for his grandkids' antics and asks to sit at their fire for a while. They travel to Greenest together down a small trail and hear the sound of orc warhorns.

The grandfather gnome is killed in the fight and when he is searched they find a map to some secret areas nearby. Following it, they find a flat stone in a hill with a wooden bucket nearby, and the riddle says
'I run smoother than most,
Any rhyme,
I love to fall but cannot climb.'
Ysmir pours her waterskin on it and makes it open.
'Where may you...roads without carts
Cities without houses
Forests without trees'
When they placed the map in the hole the door to the cavern opened.
'I cover cities and destroy mountains
Make men blind but help them see
To progress, you fill basin with me'
When the wrong thing is placed in the bowl, menacing shadow creatures melt out of the corners of the room and begin to attack. The party walks outside again and talks some more. Bramble gets frustrated, runs in and begins to fill it with sand from his cupped hands. Shadows begin to sap his strength and finally Ysmir and Veran help fill it. The riddle reveals a wall with a shadowy statue in cloak. Ysmir bullrushes the figure and hurts herself before she realises its stone. Bramble puts on the cloak around his shoulders (Cloak of Many Things) and the necklace around his neck (Necklace of Ever-flowing Potion) and they shared out the potions on the statue's belt.
Ysmir - purple potion
Bramble - green Potion of Aging
Balasar - orange, tastes vaguely of berries, no immediate effect (Potion of breath-weapon)
